Opening the Venice Film Festival, Sandra Bullock and George Clooney descended on the Palazzo del Cinema to present their new film Gravity.
And Sandra, 49, certainly drew the attention onto herself in a vibrant red folded gown with black accessories.
With her brunette hair pulled back into a quiffy updo, Sandra beamed at the gathered crowd, all there to give a raucous Venetian welcome at the premiere of her latest cinematic offering.

Bullock opted for a simple coral red lipstick with smokey eyes, and carried a black and diamante clutch bag that went well with her strappy sandals and diamond earrings.
George, 52, on the other hand went for classic red carpet tailoring, in a black tuxedo, white dress shirt and bow tie.
And obviously he was as impressed with Sandra's outfit as the rest of the crowd, pointing at her dress with admiration as they walked the carpet on Wednesday night.

Sandra has been pacing herself on the movie front since winning her first Oscar for The Blinde Side in 2009.
The actress appeared in a supporting role in the eomtional drama Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close last year with Tom Hanks, but put on her comedy hat for Paul Fieg's The Heat alongside Melissa McCarthy.
While George saw his movie Argo receive a number of gongs at this year's Academy Awards.

Stand out in a drop dead gorgeous red gown
When Sandra Bullock stepped out earlier this evening in this stunning strapless gown by J.Mendel and chic Roger Vivier heels, we were reminded of why we love her. Not only does she take sartorial risks that pay off, she also looks one hundred percent like Hollywood royalty (especially with King Clooney at her side).
A classic scarlet gown is no doubt at home on the red carpet but, for those of us unlikely to be George's premiere date any time soon, a long rosy number is also a perfect go-to for any formal evening event.
Unfortunately, Sandra's dress is unavailable online but we've spotted the hottest alternatives around. Obviously the exquisite McQueen duchess silk-satin gown is a little out of our price range, but we just wanted to show it off.
Otherwise, check out this TFNC maxi dress. Make like Sandra and keep the look simple with unfussy heels and minimal jewellery.
But as the sole actors in the new film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Sandra and George had to keep each other company at the premiere.
They star as two astronauts stranded in space after being battered by the floating debris from a destroyed Russian satellite that has ruined their shuttle.
Bullock plays rookie Stone, to Clooney's veteran spacer Kowalsky, who must navigate their way across the void of space to reach the international space station and their only chance of salvation.

While George has previously starred in the slow space thriller Solaris - the Steven Soderbergh remake of Tarkovsky's sci-fi classic - Gravity is tipped as one of the most tense action thrillers of the year.
Joining his lead stars was Alfonso with his son and Gravity's screenwriter Jonás Cuarón as well as producer David Heyman.
Also in attendance was Italian model and presenter Eva Riccobono who will be hosting the opening and closing night ceremonies, as well as a number of other Italian personalities.

However the arrival of the stars was just as extravagant, as they zoomed in on the back of luxury speedboats along one of the many canals that make Venice famous.
But along the way the actors were sprayed by water, however, Sandra and George happily mopped each other's brows before they hit the red carpet.
