Mark Thomas Taylor AW13
With AW13 appearing consumed by all things black and monochrome, London-based designer Mark Thomas Taylor has opted for an alternative seasonal palette.

Continuing to draw inspiration from Eastern techniques, the up-and-coming designer once again fuses British touches with Asian cool to deliver a uniquely original collection.
Predominantly designed within a rich palette of charcoal and varied blues, this collection sees pops of pink make a welcome appearance. As an intended “sense of the understated” remains consistent throughout, attention to this concept is primarily paid by way of Japanese fabric use, which offers both practicality and a welcome injection of texture.
Trend-seekers will instantly be drawn to the patterned Winterman shirt, whilst the bold Leopard print shirt will surely appeal to the statement dresser.
Casual styles are also catered for through the introduction of easy to wear, solid coloured and tie-dye pocket tees. These not only work well as comfortable basics but the latter will aid in creating unique layered looks too.
Further winter-appropriate essentials are provided by the stylish Western Denim shirt and the edgier burgundy take on the classic Oxford.
With the Mark Thomas Taylor man seemingly unafraid of displaying his individual take on style, colour and quality textured fabrics are key to appreciating this collection’s intelligently mixed aesthetic.
